We've been taking winter breaks in Tofino/Ucluelet for almost 20 years and enjoy the lack of crowds and ability to beach walk & experience some awesome winter storms. Long Beach Lodge makes a great base as we take our 2 labs and book one of the a dog friendly rooms on the ground floor that have walk out to the beach and a great view. This year was no exception with no rain while we were there and 2 days of storm force winds that made for great breaking surf. The room was great as always, staff all excellent and we ate 2 nights in the restaurant enjoying great meals and good beer both nights. An added plus was a new bank of 8 Level2 EV chargers (CCS) by the entrance with complimentary charging for guests, so keeping the car charged for drives to hiking locations and in prep for out return home was totally painless. Never tire of the spectacular waterfront views. Food in The Great room for dinner was excellent. Still find the towels in the room to be less that what I'd expect at a luxury resort. Not a fan of the toiletries in the room. Far too woodsy and herbal for our liking...somewhat overpowering. Getting close to the time when the rooms are ready for another refresh..carpet showing signs of wear, a fresh repaint wouldn't hurt, etc. Bathroom could use another hook or two to hang towels, etc. Looking forward to checking out the new spa facilities on our next visit. My first visit to magical Tofino and boy did we pick a beautiful resort to stay in. Very clean and comfortable establishment nested in the beauty of nature. The restaurant was amazing for breakfast and dinner!!! Room service was also extremely good. Wonderful beds too...so comfortable!! 10/10 all around!!
