Welcome back!Long Beach Lodge Resort closed on December 1 and reopens today, December 17, at noon.
During this year’s extended closure (the Resort usually closes for just a week) a host of workers, craftsmen, cleaners and decorators worked their magic in the lodge, cottages, Great Room, all common areas, and to prepare the place for Christmas and the upcoming holidays.
While Resort staff are meticulous throughout the year cleaning and maintaining the Resort, the closure allows for even more intense, “deeper” cleaning of drapes, fabric items and carpets. In the carpeted area of the Great Room, new carpets were installed. Speaking of floors, the Great Room’s wood floor was also re-sanded, bringing back the luster and warmth of opening day over a decade ago.

A painting crew also moved through the lodge, cottages and common areas applying new paint and, when required, lightening and refreshing the Resort’s colour palette.
Most return visitors will immediately notice changes the moment they walk in the front door: a brand new front desk. Once in their room, they will find updated lamps and shades in some rooms; new cottage dining room table tops; and new patio furniture for second an third floor rooms (first floor patios were updated previously). Wood surfaces have also been refinished, as needed, including banisters, doors, desks and bedside tables.

To keep the weather and elements outside, some windows were replaced, drains and drainage areas were cleaned and power washed and the fire system and hydrants were inspected.
For the Christmas and holiday season there is new laser lighting along cottage lane.
We are very excited to share the changes at the Resort.
