Bear & Whale Watching Adventure Tours

Hop on board a "Catch of the day" marine wildlife tour, each customized to take full advantage of wildlife sightings and ocean conditions. This tour is an opportunity to explore and learn about our pristine marine environment. The boat seats 12 passengers in comfort within a heated cabin that includes full washroom facilities. Guests and non-guests are welcome to book these exciting adventures!

All Aboard:

Each Wildlife Tour includes approximately 2.5 hours on the water. The Blue Pearl is a covered, heated vessel with full washroom facilities. Enjoy a fast and comfortable ride on cushioned seats and an open deck for full viewing opportunity. *The Blue Pearl will be on land for the 2020 season. Please contact guest services to assist you with adventure coordination.



Meet Captain Josh:

Our Lead Captain and professional photographer, Josh Lewis, has years of experience as a naturalist and ocean adventuring. The rugged wild of our coast and abundance of nature offers a new and different experience on every tour. 

The years have taken Josh all over the world but the Canadian coastline always drew him back. It’s this waterfront where, from a young age, he studied ecosystems and wildlife behavior, recognizing patterns and rhythms of nature. In a desire to learn more about this special part of the world he now calls home, Josh attended the Hooksum Outdoor School in the traditional territory of the Hesquiaht First Nation. It was here he gained a deeper appreciation for, and understanding of, environmental education. Through traditional indigenous knowledge and modern skills he developed his respect and connection to the natural world, giving him the foundation to begin his career on the water. Read on...
