Short Film Feature | PRIMITIVE

Introducing the local film production of PRIMITIVE by Benoit Lalande; featuring LBLR sponsored surfer and Olympic hopeful, Kalum Bruhwiler.

Gisele Bruhwiler moved to Tofino when the now renowned Canadian surf town was nothing more than a small fishing village. Since then, she has raised an entire family of pro-surfers, but did so the old way, showing them how to sail and live off the land. Despite speaking a different language and being generations apart, Gisele and her grandson Kalum share an unconditional love for the ocean and this primitive lifestyle that's been lost with changing times.

"Winter getaway"
2023-03-06
We took a February BC Ferries deal for a winter couples getaway. 3 days for the price of 2 with Reservations and Ferry trip with car included. This made it more Affordable for us. Loved being so close to the beach with the varied weather we go. Sunsets with clear sky to snow, hail and storms. We loved it all. Bring your rain gear. They also supply it. Walking on beach in the rain was great as well. This is rugged experience combined with luxury hotel and restaurant. Staff were willing to work with around our needs so a call out to the staff we dealt with. This is our second winter getaway and we will be back.

Cannot say enough good things about Long Beach Lodge Resort. Everyone at the resort goes above and beyond to make your stay fabulous. The food (taste and presentation) in the Great Room was so so good. We will definitely be visiting again !!!
"Ultimate Tofino Experience"

Long Beach Lodge resort is a comfortable and fun place to stay with friends and family. My husband and I stayed in a rainforest cottage with our husky for a week. We had friends join us on the weekend and my MIL came for part of the week. The Great Room restaurant served delicious food and had a great BC wine list. My MIL watched my husband surf over mimosas and brunch in the Great Room. My husband loved the surf rentals on site. The housekeeping staff was so friendly and checked-in everyday for what our needs were durign our stay. The kitchen in our cottage was well stocked and we cooked quite a few meals. We loved walking along Cox bay with our dog and relaxing at the water front fire pits on the clear nights. The private hot tub at the cottage was also a hit and housekeeping serviced the hottub everyday.
