Field Trip with Raincoast

The day will begin with a field trip with Marine Biologist Educators from Raincoast Education Society. On our field trip we will share our insights on marine biology and sustainable harvesting. Learn which species are edible, how they are harvested, and how to tell which ones to put back in the ocean for a sustainable fishery!

Culinary Demonstration

Ever wondered the best way to cook your favorite seafoods? After a break for lunch we will reconvene at Long Beach Lodge Resort for a demonstration on preparation and cooking techniques. After the demonstration, take some time to relax in the Great Room while the kitchen prepares your feast!

3-Course Feast

To conclude the day we will enjoy a 3-course dinner specifically designed by Executive Chef Shaun Snelling to highlight the delicious flavours of our local delicacies.

"Another Great Stay!"

We've been taking winter breaks in Tofino/Ucluelet for almost 20 years and enjoy the lack of crowds and ability to beach walk & experience some awesome winter storms. Long Beach Lodge makes a great base as we take our 2 labs and book one of the a dog friendly rooms on the ground floor that have walk out to the beach and a great view. This year was no exception with no rain while we were there and 2 days of storm force winds that made for great breaking surf. The room was great as always, staff all excellent and we ate 2 nights in the restaurant enjoying great meals and good beer both nights. An added plus was a new bank of 8 Level2 EV chargers (CCS) by the entrance with complimentary charging for guests, so keeping the car charged for drives to hiking locations and in prep for out return home was totally painless. "The most sustainable hotel in Tofino!"

BetterTable.ca had the pleasure to stay at the Long Beach Lodge Resort, an amazing sustainable hotel with very friendly staff and a fantastic food and beverage experience. They have EV charging stations, move away from single use plastic, feature tasty local food and implement zero waste strategies, on top of many more initiatives. Ideally located a few meters from a beautiful beach with surfers. You must go if you stay in Tofino! "Fantastic family trip"

This lodge was perfect for our family of 5 during our Tofino visit. It's about 10 minutes south of Tofino on beautiful Cox Bay, which was perfect for our kids to play frisbee and volleyball on the beach. Even in bad weather we spent time out on the beach. The cottage was perfect for us and felt really roomy. Dinner in the Great Room was wonderful and all the staff was so pleasant. This was the most pet-friendly place we've been to in a while. Fantastic visit.
