Happy New Year to all our valued guests! We can’t wait to welcome you back in 2026.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us over the holiday season, whether it was for Christmas or New Year’s. One guest mentioned that their visit over Christmas felt a bit like staying at a rich uncle’s large beach house, considering the size and warmth of the lodge. I loved that comparison!
Weather-wise, we experienced both a furious winter storm, followed by beautiful, warm sunny days with dogs leading our guests for a beach walk, or guests sitting by the fire pits, watching beach activity, or perhaps a sunset. During this season, we get to enjoy spectacular sunsets as the sun sinks into the ocean, right in front of the lodge.
Winter at the Lodge comes with some highlights. One is our Pets Stay Free in February tradition, where we don’t charge a pet fee and instead make a donation to the CARE Network for every furry friend visiting us. Another is that the Artist at the Lodge series is back, with great local artists showcasing their talent in the Great Room in January and February. We’re excited to open our Lodge to local talent and share their creativity with our guests.
During our annual winter break in December, we do work that cannot be done when guests are visiting. Over this winter and last, we’ve conducted major renovations to the cottages. When the last eight reopen this March, they will all look fresh as opening day, including new kitchens, flooring, and lighter paint colours. The lodge rooms have also been updated with new flooring, fresh paint, and comfy new sofa chairs.
You might have noticed our booking page has a fresh new look. We’re excited to make it easier and smoother for our guests to reserve their stay. While you’re booking, I encourage you to take a look at our carefully designed packages and special add-ons. You never know what little extra touches might make your visit even more memorable.
TripAdvisor has once again ranked us #1 of five resorts in Tofino an honor I believe reflects the incredible dedication and care of our staff.
Wishing each of you a happy and healthy 2026. Here’s hoping the year brings good moments and memorable visits.
Best wishes,
Tim Hackett
