As we look back on 2025, I’m pleased to share an overview of what has truly been an exceptional year for us at Long Beach Lodge Resort..
We are very excited to be open for the holidays this year, after having been closed during COVID. In the years after COVID, we continued to stay closed over the holidays to give our staff a chance to travel or spend time with their families, especially since many had gone years without seeing them due to travel restrictions.
It was just not the same here without our holiday season and celebrations. That’s why we are so delighted to welcome our guests back when we reopen on December 18th. The season will be magical with all the lights and decorations, great feasts, beautiful home-like accommodations, and friendly, helpful service. Visiting us during the holidays will truly be like no other experience.
2025 has been our strongest year on record. It is humbling to know that so many loyal guests returned again this year, along with a record number of first-time visitors. Guests came for weddings, elopements, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and corporate retreats. We are very appreciative that so many trusted us to make their event special. Guests often say that while our location and accommodations are beautiful, it’s the welcoming, helpful staff that makes them return year after year.
Enhancing the guest experience and improving our facilities remain top priorities. Last year, we added our Rainforest Spa and new fitness room. This winter, we are completing a major renovation to our last eight cottages and refreshing the remaining lodge rooms with new carpet, chairs, and lighter paint colours. We believe our accommodations must always look “opening-day fresh”.
We’re also taking steps to manage resources more thoughtfully. This year, we drilled a well on the property to provide water for our Surf Club wetsuit washing, hot tubs, hot pool, and beachfront shower. This allows us to keep these amenities running without putting additional demand on the community’s water supply, especially during the summer months.
2025 has also brought some wonderful recognition. TripAdvisor has recognized us as the #1 Best Value among luxury hotels in Tofino, and the World Travel Awards have named us Best Boutique Hotel/Resort in British Columbia for the second year in a row.
