A family vacation on the West Coast is all about discovering nature, making memories, and embracing the adventure that surrounds us. This summer, we’re excited to partner with the Raincoast Education Society to offer engaging Tofino Kids’ Camps right here at Long Beach Lodge Resort.

Designed for children ages 6-12, these interactive camps take place Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the Lodge property, making it easy for families to add a meaningful and memorable experience to their stay.

The Raincoast Education Society is a local non-profit organization dedicated to connecting people with the natural world through outdoor, experiential learning. Based in Tofino and Ucluelet, their team helps visitors and residents alike develop a deeper understanding of the ecosystems that make this region so remarkable. Through hands-on activities, games, and exploration, children learn about the plants, animals, and habitats that define the West Coast while having fun and building confidence along the way.

Each camp session features a different theme, allowing young explorers to discover a new aspect of the environment every day. Themes include:

  • Rainforest Explorers
  • Intertidal Investigators
  • Whale Tales
  • Animal Tracking
  • Flying Friends
  • Bugs & Slugs
  • West Coast Survivors

A rainy-day program is also available, ensuring the adventure continues regardless of the weather.

Fun beach activities for kids

More than just a fun morning activity, these camps invite children to become part of the place they’re visiting. Through hands-on exploration, creative play, and outdoor discovery, they’ll uncover the stories of the rainforest, shoreline, and wildlife that make this corner of the coast so special. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, spark curiosity, make new friends, and create memories that will last long after their vacation ends.

While the young adventurers are busy discovering the wonders of the West Coast, parents can enjoy a little time to themselves. Start the day with a relaxed breakfast in the Great Room overlooking Cox Bay, take a stroll along the beach, indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment, or simply unwind and soak in the rhythm of the coast.

It’s an experience that benefits the whole family – giving children the opportunity to learn, explore, and connect with nature while allowing parents to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the Lodge at their own pace.

Guests can register their children at the Front Desk upon check-in or arrange participation before arrival by contacting our team at info@longbeachlodgeresort.com.

We look forward to welcoming your family for a summer filled with discovery, connection, and unforgettable West Coast moments.
