Tofino is a pretty cool place to live and work

We are some of the fortunate few to call Tofino “home.”

Pinned onto the west coast of Vancouver Island and against the Pacific Ocean, Tofino is a jewel in a miles-long brocade that includes Long Beach peninsula, a collection of magnificent beaches such as Mackenzie, Chesterman, Cox Bay and Long Beach.

Part of the beauty is the sense of isolation, seclusion.

The daily bustle and grind lies many miles away, over the Pacific Rim Highway and across the Pacific and beyond the rainforest. There is a buffer of sorts and whether purposefully or accidentally, visitors and residents turn the volume down when they arrive. The intensity, worry, burden and anxiety seems to seep away – at least temporarily – while in Tofino.

Long Beach Lodge Resort Staff
Every year visitors from all over the world arrive in Tofino and fall in love with the town, beach, ocean, rainforests and the way of life.

We are some of the fortunate few to call Tofino “home.”

We work at Long Beach Lodge Resort. We surf on Cox Bay. We forage in the rainforest, and we love to walk in the rain, explore the beach and spend time with our family and loved ones.

Please stop by and say "Hi" the next time you are in Tofino.

We would love to see you.
