Otalith Music Festival 2015

Annual music event expected to draw a big audience to Ucluelet this August.

Think of the Pemberton Music Festival and Squamish Valley Music Festival but on an island, set in the heart of a coastal temperate rainforest and back dropped by the Pacific Rim with a lineup of up-and-comers still early in their careers and you will have the Otalith Music Festival.

August 21-22, will see a gathering of music lovers at Ucluelet Parks and Rec Hall Field to enjoy two days of garage rock, hip hop, indie, folk and a whole host of other genres of music.

Festival headliners are The Black Lips while acts returning from the 2014 event include Seattle's Cave Singers. Other noteworthy acts include indie rock duo The Dodos from San Francisco, The Coup, Nick Waterhouse, Reverberation Radio, Jesse Roper and Victoria duo Jon & Roy.

Part proceeds of Otalith support the Ucluelet Aquarium and Pacific Wild, a group committed to protecting the Great Bear Rainforest through advocacy and education.
