Long Beach Lodge Resort is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Raincoast Education Society (RES).

Established in August 2000, RES’s mission is to help shape an environmentally sustainable future for the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region.

Long Beach Lodge Resort corporate sponsor of Raincoast Education SocietyThrough donations by Long beach Lodge Resort and education and community stewardship, RES has enabled citizens within and beyond the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region to participate knowledgeably, effectively and responsibly in the work of shaping the future of the region.

RES reaches out to locals and visitors alike, delivering a broad range of high-quality educational and interpretive programs, such as guided walks, seminar series, summer camps, school programs, and events focused on the natural environment, cultures, and communities of the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region.

On March 3, 2015,  Long Beach Lodge Resort owner Tim Hackett presented Dan Harrison, Executive Director Raincoast Education Society a cheque for $10,000. Pictured in the photo from left to right: Rob Renna, Dan Harrison, Tim Hackett, Diane Hackett and Samantha Hackett.

Long Beach, Clayoquot and Barkley Sound are treasures that need to be protected and preserved. Long Beach Lodge Resort is thrilled to be associated with RES and enjoy the opportunity to assist in maintaining this naturally beautiful region.
