Staff Spotlight

This month our spotlight is on... Amy Jones!

Lodge gig...

Housekeeping Supervisor

On the search for adventure, independence and a taste of Island life...

Amy started working at LBLr in Septmber 2009. Coming from the mainland, Amy was in search of adventure, independence, and a taste of life out on the West Coast. Amy exudes a bubbly, happy attitude and can always be found with a smile on her face.

Amy is a die-hard Canucks fan. She has even made it to a couple of games in Vancouver this season, cheering her team on loudly! Amy has always enjoyed the outdoors, starting with summers spent at her aunt and uncle’s cabin as a child. Today, she is a star on the local baseball team, the Pacific Rimmers, she hits the golf course when she can, enjoys exploring rainforest trails, and can be found soaking up the rays on lazy summer days at the lake. She especially loves all of the happy dogs we have visiting us at LBLR and can often be found offering them a treat. Amy suggests you attend The Tofino Food & Wine Festival, her favourite local event, which is a fun afternoon of good food, drink, and company. Amy also recently got her “N” and is now driving around town in her new set of wheels!

Amy suggests you check out...

… the aquarium in Ucluelet, where you can get up close and personal with a wide variety of local marine life. Amy was surprised to see the abundance of life and colours that can be found in our surrounding ocean and suggests that you check it out. Is scuba diving next on Amy’s to do list? You never know what she may have planned!
