They Shoot–You Score!
Long Beach Lodge Resort catches hockey spirit.
Tofino, B.C., April 29, 2009 - In the spirit of the 2009 hockey playoff season and to show support for the loyal fans of Vancouver, Long Beach Lodge Resort is launching “They Shoot – You Score” room promotion which activates on winning game nights. For the 2009 playoffs between Chicago and Vancouver, when Vancouver wins, Long Beach Lodge will be offering five Oceanfront rooms for each Vancouver goal at the price equivalent to the jersey number of the Vancouver player who scored the goal. With the regular room rates for the Oceanfront rooms starting at $289 they will, quite literally, be giving away the Jersey off their backs.
How it works
Five rooms are given for each goal scored in a win. If Vancouver wins the game 2-0 on Thursday night and the goals are scored as follows:- Shutout : Goaltender's jersey is #1
- Scored 1st: Player Jersey #14
- Scored 2nd: Player Jersey #2
- First five people: 5 Oceanfront rooms @ $1 each
- Next five people: 5 Oceanfront rooms @ $2 each
- Last five people: 5 Oceanfront rooms @ $14 each
How to play
The promotion, “They Shoot – You Score”, begins at 10am the morning after a Vancouver win. To participate in this first-to-enter, first-to-receive promotion, people must go to the resorts web site at www.longbeachlodgeresort.com, click on ‘They Shoot – You Score” icon located on home page, and complete the entry form… but don’t hit ‘submit’ until 10am the morning after. All entries are time stamped. Successful individual will be posted on the Long Beach Lodge Resort web site at 2 pm the same day.Special rates are valid for one night only and are based on availability. The room must be booked and the stay must occur before the end of the 2009 Hockey Season (June 16, 2009). One room per person per winning game. The rate excludes taxes which are based on the promotional rate (nominal)
