Surfing peaks, storms descend & value expands at Long Beach Lodge

Why Winter is the best time to experience Tofino, BC

Nov. 12, 2014, Tofino, BC – During a period when the waves are higher and room rates are lower, Long Beach Lodge Resort is offering some of the best experiences on the west coast of British Columbia including surfing, exploring and simply relaxing as storm season begins on Canada’s wild West Coast.

Winter is prime time for surfing in Tofino, thanks to more consistent waves along the beaches and bays. However, unlike ski destinations where the rates increase with the height of the powder, Tofino slows down and value is high as true soft adventurers travel to this remote destination to enjoy the wild weather, nature at its most extreme, combined with award winning accommodation and cuisine.

Long Beach Lodge Resort is offering the following Storm Season specials for 2014 - 15:

Discover Surfing program - Until March 15, 2015

The package for two includes two nights’ accommodation in a Deluxe Beachfront Room, one 2.5-hour private surf lesson and a full day of surf equipment rentals (surfboard, wetsuit and booties) for $175 Cdn per person, per night.

Why go? Voted the best surf town in North America by Outside Magazine and National Geographic, Tofino is a great place to update those surfing skills or try surfing for the first time. Long Beach Lodge Resort's Surf Club Adventure Centre is a one-of-a-kind facility, a first in Canada, and sets a new standard for the surfing world. This spa-like facility provides professional, customized surf instruction with exclusive access to the outdoor hot tub, sauna, showers and heated indoor change rooms.

Become a Friend, Feel Like Family – Until May 31, 2015

Long Beach Lodge Resort is extending their special friends and family rate of $199 Cdn per night (reg. $329 to $549 Cdn per night) to all new 5+ night bookings for stays in a Rainforest Cottage, until May 31, 2015. Some blackout dates apply.

Who go? Sometimes one just needs a full week to decompress and enjoy the surroundings. Tucked in behind the resort and carefully placed amongst the natural coastal vegetation Long Beach Lodge’s two-bedroom, Rainforest Cottages are considered the most luxurious on the West Coast. All are within an easy stroll of the Lodge and beach. Each cottage offers a ground-floor master bedroom and bathroom, a main living area with gas fireplace, a dining area and fully equipped kitchen, while upstairs, there is a second bedroom and a bathroom. Each cottage also has a private outdoor hot tub. Many are also pet friendly.

Solo Travellers – Until May 31, 2015

Room rates start at $119 Cdn per night with a minimum two night stay.

Why go? Independent travellers can check in to Long Beach Lodge Resort for up to 40 per cent off seasonal rates from now through May 31, 2015. For those looking for a little extra solitude, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of the lodge is extended into the guestrooms.
