What could be better than summer in Tofino? Obviously I am biased, but many guests would agree… nothing!
This place offers both adrenaline and relaxation, whatever floats your boat or surf board – weve got both ends of the spectrum covered. So many of our Lodge guests come here with ambitious plans to get in every activity possible; surfing, bear watching, flight seeing, fishing, golfing, etc, but the magic of this place is that doing nothing here is just as invigorating as any of the adventure filled options. A recent guest of the Lodge on tripadvisor.com said "there is no place as good for the soul as Long Beach Lodge!" Maybe the thrill of a first time surf lesson might be just what you need, or it might just be that a casual sunset stroll along the beach is what you need to relax and recharge.
A lot has happened since I last wrote, first of all my surfing has improved, although I would still be careful as to call myself a surfer, as in Tofino there are many who are truly incredible at the sport, i.e. Raph Bruhwiler (home grown surfing personality) But the cool thing about surfing, is the thrill of catching a wave is just as exciting, regardless, of your skill level, novice or expert! I bring up Raph Bruhwiler as an example of the talent in Tofino, as I recently had the chance to meet him, and as we do have some common ground, Raph has been a long time Quiksilver sponsored athlete, and I am very pleased to announce that Quiksilver has just become the official uniform supplier to the Long Beach Lodge -- the staff are stoked!
