We are pleased to offer three base wedding packages which have been developed for your ease of planning. Of course, fully customized Wedding Packages are available and our Events Team would be delighted to work with you to develop the event of your dreams!

Our personalized one on one service will ensure that you experience stress-free planning, from the initial consultation to the end of your wedding day. Our mission is to provide an all-inclusive West Coast celebration, delivering superior quality to create a lasting memory of your special day. We host an initial meeting the day of your arrival to finalize details and walk through your itinerary. On the day of your wedding we are there to oversee the set up, timing, decor, flower delivery, ceremony & reception to ensure that your day runs smoothly.


A West Coast Wedding for Two: The Elopement Package

The Intimate Wedding Package:

Our Long Beach Lodge Intimate Wedding Package is for the bride & groom who want an intimate affair with close family and friends. The Long Beach Lodge Intimate Wedding Package is for weddings of 3 to 16 (including bride& groom) people. We will provide a bouquet and matching boutonniere.  A Long Beach Lodge keepsake will be awaiting you upon return to your room on your wedding night.

As an add-on to this base package, you may want to consider  a reception or dinner with your guests upstairs overlooking the ocean in
our Great Room Restaurant. The venue rental fee for this is included in the package, however all catering fees apply.

Our Intimate Wedding Package includes:

Eat, Drink & be Married Package:

Our Eat, Drink & be Married Package is for weddings with 17 - 50 people. We will provide a bouquet and matching boutonniere. As an add-on to this base package, you may want to consider a reception with your guests upstairs overlooking the ocean in our Great Room Restaurant followed by personalized dinner in our private Long Beach Room with your friends & family. The venue rental fee for this is included in the package, however all catering fees apply.  A rose petal turn down and a Long Beach Lodge keepsake will be awaiting you upon return to your room on your wedding night.

Deposits
The identified deposit for weddings holds a specific date and is non-refundable unless we book another wedding for that date.

  • Elopement Package Deposit: Half the package price
  • Intimate Wedding Package Deposit: $1000
  • Eat, Drink. & be Married Package Deposit: $1000
  • Guest Room Block Deposit: $1000

Ceremony
Only one wedding is booked per day. Exchange your vows in the breeze on spectacular Cox Bay beach or your ceremony can also take place in the Great Room which is a warm and inviting space that features a large wood burning fireplace and spectacular views of the rolling waves. Please note that the ceremonies we host are standing ceremonies, chairs are not provided (rentals are available). We will provide a registry signing table and chair and witnesses if necessary. Our maximum capacity for indoor ceremonies is 55.

Reception
Our cuisine features simple, natural and unpretentious fare to suit any taste. Our Chef, will go out of his way to ensure the qualities of his creations are memorable and delicious. We can also provide a champagne reception with appetizers following the ceremony. Your indoor dinner reception will take place in our private function room. Amenities available feature surround sound system, dance floor LCD projector and screen for slide shows, and West Coast table décor. We offer plated dinner service, menus start at $45/person.

Should your reception involve music and dancing we ask that the music is turned down by 11:00 pm and off by 12:00 am for the comfort of our other guests and that the room is vacated by 1:00 am.

Venue Selection
Two  main areas in the Lodge are used for Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions and/or Dinners:
  • The Great Room - Our iconic Great Room is available for wedding use, however this is a popular public space for our guests and it cannot be reserved for private use. Please contact the Events Team to discuss your event requirements to determine if this space will be suitable for you.
  • The Long Beach Room - The Long Beach Room is available for private use and comfortably seats 35 people for a dinner. Exterior windows provide the option of natural light; a fireplace and comfortable leather arm chairs provides a great social seating area; an external door provides direct beach access; and the built-in sound and projection equipment will make communication at your event a breeze. Native artwork on the walls provides a west coast flavour to the room.
Menu and Wine Selection
All food and beverage must be supplied by the Long Beach Lodge Resort and meet a minimum catering requirement based on the number of guests attending your wedding. We currently begin quoting our dinner menus at $45.00 - $100.00 per person.

Our kitchen works with the freshest local seafood, meats and produce to create a menu suited to your tastes. If you have a specific ingredient or menu option that you would like us to work with, we will do our best to do so. Our menus are developed for your specific wedding taking into consideration your likes and dislikes, allergies, and restrictions of your party. Our local and seasonal culinary creations will add a memorable touch to your perfect day. Menus are created a few months prior to the event.

We have a vast array of BC and international wines that paired with the meals of choice will satisfy the finest gourmet. We are happy to assist you in choosing the appropriate wine selections for your menu. Please note that current B.C. Liquor laws prohibit the service of any alcohols purchased off property. Wine starts at $35/Bottle

Cakes
With your direction, our in-house baker can create an elegant wedding cake. Should you prefer to provide your own cake there will be a cutting and plating fee of $3.00 / person.

Signage and Decorations
All signage and decorations must be pre-approved by the management of Long Beach Lodge.

Other Services Available
Other services available include photography, massage, musicians, hair & beauty services.

Event Guarantees
Long Beach Lodge Resort will require a guaranteed number of guests two weeks prior to the event as well as your guests entrée choices based on the menu confirmed 2 weeks prior. We will be able to allow 10% more food if needed due to extra persons attending. In the event that a guarantee is not received, you will be charged the original contracted amount or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater.

Payment
The wedding fee will be required at the time of booking to reserve your wedding date and is a non-refundable deposit, unless we are able to book another wedding for that date. A down payment of the first night for all rooms booked will be due upon room reservation. A $1000.00 deposit is required to secure a block of rooms for your guests; this deposit can later be credited towards your final bill. Rooms that are not picked up by your guests will be released back into general inventory 30 days prior to your event. We require 50% of estimated food & beverage costs 30 days prior to your event. The final invoice will be due at the end of the function and will include GST of 5%, HST 10 %( on accommodations), 10% Liquor tax (if applicable) and 20% service charge on the net amount of the food and beverage invoice. Any invoice adjustments will be made at this time.

Cancellation
All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations on accommodations received 7 days prior to the scheduled date will receive a refund on the deposit less a $20 cancellation fee per room booked. If accommodations are cancelled within one week of the scheduled arrival the deposits will be forfeited. Wedding fees are non refundable unless we are able to book another wedding on the same date.

Deliveries
Long Beach Lodge Resort will assist in the handling of boxes and packages. As there is limited storage on the property we are unable to accept shipments earlier than two days prior to your event. Please co-ordinate the pick up of items immediately following your event as the Hotel is not responsible for damage or loss of any articles left on the premises during or following your event. We are also able to deliver welcome packages to your guests for $3/delivery.

Fireworks
Cox Bay is a public beach and therefore if you wish to include fireworks in your celebration you will require the relevant permits from the Town of Tofino. We also require that you inform us in advance of your plans as we are a pet friendly resort and would wish to notify all pet owners staying with us at the time.

Younger Attendees
Long Beach Lodge welcomes young guests at all times. If you feel that your younger guests may not be interested in attending the reception we would be happy to recommend a baby sitter to supervise the children during the event.

Confetti and Rice
Please advise your guests that there will be a cleaning charge of $200.00 for showers of confetti, rice, or anything of this matter. This applies to the inside and outside areas of the property.

Guest Rooms
For the comfort of all hotel guests, private parties in guest rooms are not permitted. If we receive guest complaints due to excessive noise from a guest room, the convener will be responsible for the room charge of that particular guest.

BC Marriage Regulations
A Marriage License must be obtained by the bride & groom before the wedding. This license is available at any Municipal Office for a cost of $100 Canadian. The license is valid for the duration of 3 months from the date of purchase.

Local Marriage Commissioners are available to perform your ceremony and we will be happy to assist you in checking their availability.

Music/Musicians
There are several options for music and musicians to enhance the ceremony and/or reception of your special day. Walk down the aisle to the Celtic rhythm of a Scottish bagpiper, or the traditional melody of the Wedding March. Please enquire with our Events Manager for contact information.

Photography
Choose the ideal photography style for your personal tastes. Please consult with our Events Manager regarding your style and budget to be paired with a photographer that will best suit you.

Pamper Yourself
Tofino offers a variety of services to ensure that you feel beautiful and relaxed on your special day. They are a number of spa facilities, hair salons, makeup artists and estheticians in the area. Please enquire for more details.

Minimum Requirements
There is a minimum food and beverage requirement based on the amount of guests attending the event. There is also a minimum requirement of rooms that must be booked by your wedding party. This amount is based on the number of guests attending your wedding.
Please consult our Events Manager for specific minimum requirements.
